In 1870, the Condurro family began a long tradition of master pizzaioli in the heart of Naples' city center.
La schiacciata is a typical Tuscan focaccia made with olive oil. It is generously topped, mostly with classic Tuscan cured meats and cheeses: finocchiona, pecorino, crema di lardo, and they are made with various sauces such as truffle or porcini mushroom.
Since then, five generations of master pizzaioli have continued the founder's activity while respecting tradition and adhering to Michele's instructions. He insisted that Neapolitan pizza should only come in the "Marinara" and "Margherita" varieties, without the addition of "Papocchie," which alter the taste and authenticity of the pizza, known and appreciated worldwide.

Historical place in Bergamo where in 1961 Enrico Panattoni invented the famous ice cream flavour "Stracciatella". Enrico had the idea to add a liquid dark chocolate to the soft cream made with milk, egg yolks and sugar. The result was an ice cream made with hot chocolate that ripped itself up ( "stracciare" in Italian) when touching frozen cream. From this gastronomic experiment La Stracciatella took its name.
