Born in Bergamo on April 30, 1922, Camillo Campana was closely associated with the expressionist movement during the early part of his career, characterized by the use of increasingly vibrant colors until he embraced informal art. The use of color was always the distinctive feature of his work. The artist passed away in Bergamo on January 15, 1994.
